Arizona Running Back Likes Irish

Terry Longbons has already received offers from Arizona, Arizona State, Stanford, Oregon and Nebraska. Where do the Irish stand with this recruit?

At 5-11 and 211 pounds, Terry Longbons can be a load to tackle. With his size and 4.4 forty yard dash speed, it's no wonder he's garnered the attention of many of the nation's top programs.

Has he heard from Notre Dame? "Yeah, I've received letters from them. I'm definitely interested in them. It's a very good school."

In fact, Terry lists Notre Dame in his current top 5. "My top 5 right now are Arizona State, Arizona, UCLA, Notre Dame and Oregon."

Is distance going to be a factor? "Distance might be a factor, because I'd like to stay close to home."

Longbons doesn't have a time frame for reaching a decision. "I'm probably going to take all of my official visits before deciding."

As for the biggest factor in his decision, "The biggest factor will probably be academics and what kinds of classes they offer."

Longbons should have no problem qualifying as he has a self-reported 3.5 grade point average in his core. He is set to take the test on May 1.

Comments: If the impressive lists of offers he holds is any indication, Longbons should be a hot prospect at the running back position. It seems he is interested in the Irish, but the Arizona schools may have the inside track as he indicated he might like to stay in state. IrishEyes will be sure to keep an eye on him and keep you posted. Top Stories
