Santa Rosa two-way standout Marcus Ezeff is drawing heavy interest from the likes of Oklahoma, Arizona, Washington and Oregon. Has he heard from Notre Dame?

6-1, 180 pounds, Marcus Ezeff put his 4.45 forty speed to good use on both sides of the ball as a junior. As a wide receiver, Ezeff had 37 catches for 687 yards and 10 touchdowns. As a cornerback, he recorded 54 tackles and had 4 interceptions.

Has he heard from Notre Dame? "Yeah, I've been getting handwritten letters from Coach McDonnell."

Is he interested in the Irish? "Yeah, I like their school." Ezeff has Notre Dame in his top 5 along with Oklahoma, USC, Oregon and Nebraska.

Distance won't be a factor for Ezuff and he hasn't set a timeframe for making his decision. "I want to take a few visits before I decide."

Academics are at the top of his priority list for in choosing a school. Ezuff has a 3.03 GPA and he's scheduled to take the test on either May 1 or June 5.

Marcus plans to attend the Nike Camp at Stanford in May and is also planning to attend the MSL combine at Berkley.

Comments: True cornerbacks are always a need for the Irish. It seems that Notre Dame is showing considerable interest in Marcus Ezeff. Marcus is a very personable young man and he seems to have genuine interest in Notre Dame. He should be a prospect worth keeping an eye on. Top Stories
