Chris Turner had an impressive junior season. "I don't know my attempt or completions, but I three for 3,400 yards and 30 touchdowns," said Turner. "I either set or broke every school passing record last year."
Plenty of schools have been after Turner already, but he says he's wait for his first offer. "I don't have any offers yet. I get the most mail from Notre Dame and Florida. Michigan State, Tennessee and USC are my other three favorites right now."
Turner says he's been on the junior day circuit this spring. "I went to USC junior day. I also visited Florida for their spring game and Tennessee for their spring game last week."
The summer will also be a busy time for Turner. "I plan to go to the Stanford combine. The next day is the Elite 11 workout at Cal so I'll attend that. I plan to go to Notre Dame summer camp at the end of June, and I'll probably stop by a few other schools this summer."
When would Turner line to decide? "I always told myself that if Notre Dame ever offered, I'd jump at it right then. Now I think I want to take my visits and take my time and see what else is out there for me."
Turner says he grew up a huge Notre Dame fan. "Oh yes, I was a huge fan," said Turner. "I've always loved Notre Dame. But, I don't want to just commit somewhere if I don't feel comfortable there. I just want to be comfortable where I go to school."
Turner also says he has some important factors he'll look at before he decides. "I want to make sure the coaching staff is stable and that I get along with them well. The offense will be important because I throw the ball here a lot and I'd want to throw a lot in college. The academics will also be important."
Turner has a self-reported 3.0 g.p.a. and said he'd be taking his test on May 1st.
Comments: The Irish look to be in good shape with Turner if they offer. But, he also wants to make sure he'll feel comfortable at any school he chooses. He'll be a camp and will get a chance to check out Notre Dame for a couple of days. That trip will likely decide how he feels about the Irish.
