Harrison Likes Irish

Coming off and impressive Nike camp performance, cornerback Brandon Harrison is a hot prospect. The 5-10, 193-pound corner already has a couple of offers and many more are on the way. Where do the Irish stand with this top prospect?

Brandon Harrison had an impressive junior season. "I had 78 tackles and two interceptions on defense," said Harrison. "I also rushed for 500 yards and on offense and three touchdowns. I also returned three kicks for touchdowns."

His recent Nike camp performance should open some eyes. "I ran a 4.25 there. I also had a 37.3 inch vertical and I did 18 reps of 185 on the bench. Also, nobody caught a ball on me in drills."

Harrison does have a few offers already. "Iowa and Miami of Ohio has offered me. Notre Dame said they are waiting to look over my transcripts before they offer. Michigan has also said they are going to offer."

The Harrison family car has also logged a few miles recently. "I've been to Ohio State, Michigan, Michigan State and Notre Dame. I still plan to go to Penn State and Pittsburgh, and I plan to get out to Iowa sometime soon."

So what did Brandon think of Notre Dame? "I loved it. I loved the campus, it's beautiful. I really liked the player/coach relationship they had there. I spoke with Coach Wilks the whole day and got to spend some time with Coach Willingham. He's a real cool guy. He's really down to earth."

Harrison's parents also loved the visit. "My Mom fell in love with it. She liked the Catholic atmopshere of the place and the academics. My Dad really liked the coaches.

When will Harrison be making a decision? "I probably won't make a decision until the middle of my season or probably after. I don't want to rush anything."

We also asked Harrison what would be important to him when making a decision. "I'd say the player/coach relationship. That's very important to me. Also, I just want to get a good feeling for the place."

Harrison has a self-reported 3.0 g.p.a. in his score and he said he's qualified by NCAA standards.

Comments: The Irish appear to be in good shape with Harrison. He's a top-quality corner and the Irish will likely go after him very hard. Keep an eye on this top player.
