Indiana Wide Receiver prospect Has Three Offers

Indianapolis wide receiver Donald Washington is enjoying the recruiting process. The 6-2, 180-pound Washington already has three offers under his belt and more will likely be on the way. Washington has already visited Notre Dame unofficially. What were his thoughts on Notre Dame? Are the Irish interested in him?

Donald Washington's stock keeps rising. "I just ran a 4.5 at the Ohio State Nike combine," said Washington. "I had 47 catches for 800 yards and eight touchdowns last year."

Washington also has a few offers under his belt. "Stanford, E. Michigan and Miami of Ohio have offered me. Purdue, Indiana, Notre Dame, Michigan, Florida, Southern Illinois and Toledo are recruiting me pretty hard."

The Irish have been recruiting him heavily according to Washington. "I went there for their junior day. I liked it there a lot. I really like their history. I also really like their coaches there. They send me a lot of mail."

The phone has also started rining for Washington. "Florida, Purdue, Southern Illinois, Ball State and Miami of Ohio have called me already."

Summer camps also appear on the docket for Washington. "I know I'm going to go to a few 1-day camps. I just haven't figured out which ones at this point. Hopefully I'll know that soon."

Washington also says he'd like to make an early decision. "I'd like to make a decision by August or early September. I just want to find a place I'd feel comfortable if I wasn't playing football."

Washington also has a self-reported 3.3 g.p.a. He has yet to take his test.

Comments: Washington is seems interested in Notre Dame, but he also appears pretty wide open at this time. The Irish do appear to be after him pretty hard. I'm sure the Irish coaches will try to get him into camp this summer. We'll check back with him in about a month and see where he's at with his decision.
