Although Bordeleau has yet to receive any offers, he is receiving interest from USC, Washington, Oregon, Arizona State and Colorado among others.
he heard from Notre Dame? "No, I haven't heard from them." We asked if he'd be interested in the Irish if they began recruiting him. "Yeah, I'd be interested. I like Notre Dame".
Bordeleau's top five mirrors the schools showing him the most interest. "My top five, in no particular order, would be USC, Colorado, Arizona State, Washington and Oregon."
Has he set a timeframe for making a decision? "Well, I think I'll wait until after the season to make my decision. The quarterback for our school wasn't very good last year, so I didn't really get to showcase my talent at the tight end position. This year our quarterback should be good, so I think I'll be able to do better this season."
What will be the most important factors in his decision? "Coaching is going to be a big factor. I'll look at the school itself and the academics."
Is distance going to be a factor? "I'd like to stay close to home, but it'll just depend on the situation."
Bordeleau holds a 2.7 GPA. He scored a 980 on the SAT on his first try, but he plans to retake the test.
Comments: May evaluation is just getting warmed up, so it's hard to tell who the Irish will be recruiting this season. They haven't shown an interest in Lance Bordeleau to this point, but it's very early in the process. Bordeleau seems pretty open at the moment, so the Irish might have a chance should they decide to enter the picture.
