Henderson Up to Seven Offers

Oak Creek, Wis. is home to Raymond Henderson. The 6-5, 255-pound defensive end prospect is up to seven offers so far with many more likely on the way. Who's offered Henderson? What does he think of Notre Dame?

Raymond Henderson had an impressive junior season. "I had 104 tackles, 19 sacks and 17 tackles for loss," said Henderson. "I run the 40 in 4.6-4.7 range, about a 4.65."

His junior season impressed a number of coaches so far. "Notre Dame, Penn State, Iowa, Ohio State, Tennessee, Ball State and Arkansas have offered me," Henderson said.

The Irish appear to be one of his top schools right now. "I like them," Henderson said of Notre Dame. "I like Coach Willingham. He's a real nice guy. He came to my school last Monday. I don't really have any list of favorites, but I know Notre Dame is up there and one of my favorites."

Henderson also recently visited Notre Dame and enjoyed his time there. "I really liked it there," he said. "I got to hang out with some of their players and they are good people. I liked everything about it, church, Touchdown Jesus, the stadium, the history. We even got to go into the locker room and go down the stairs and touch the sign. I wanted to put the pads on right there."

The plan for Henderson is to take some visits. "I want to give every school an equal opportunity," he said. "I plan to take all my visits and enjoy the process."

Henderson also knows what he's looking for in a school. "I think the relationship I have with the coaches will be important," Henderson said. "The academics will also be important. I want to find a family environment where I fit in."

Speaking of academics, Henderson also sports a 4.0 in his core g.p.a and plans to take his test in June.

Comments: Henderson is great guy with a lot of personality. The Irish are very much in the race for his signature, but I do believe he'll take his time before deciding. Expect the Irish to remain in the hunt until the end.
