Kyles Remains Open

Milledgeville, Ga. is home to Nick Kyles. The 6-2, 185-pound wide receiver prospect is quickly becoming known as one of the top prospects in the state of Georgia. Kyles has seven offers on the table already. Which schools have offered? Are the Irish interested? What did he have to say about Notre Dame?

Nick Kyles had an impressive junior season. I caught 52 passes and 11 touchdowns, said Kyles. I don't remember how many yards I had. I ran a 4.5 at the Nike combine."

Plenty of schools have taken notice of Kyles so far. "Florida State, Florida, Michigan State, Tennessee, Georgia, Auburn and Miami have offered me so far," Kyles said.

The Irish are also very interested in Kyles. "They are recruiting me," said Kyles of Notre Dame. "They said they are going to offer me but they need to look at my transcript first. I get letters from them all the time."

Is Kyles interested in Notre Dame? "Yes sir, I like their coach and they have a good program."

Like any top prospect from the south, pulling Kyles from the clutches of the SEC and ACC is going to be a challenge. "I would like to stay close to home. But, if the right school came along and it felt right, I'd have to go there. I don't mind leaving Georgia."

Kyle's decision will likely come down to signing day. "I've thought about that and I think I want to do it on signing day. I'm looking for a school that throws the balls. The coaching staff will also be important."

Does Kyles have any favorites at this point? "Yeah, I'd say Georgia, Florida, Florida State and L.S.U.," Kyles said.

Kyles has a self-reported 2.9 g.p.a. He said he's taken his test, but is waiting for his score.

Comments: Kyles also has a twin brother named Jarvis that the Irish are recruiting as well. Getting both to leave the south might be a tall task for the Irish coaches. Nick remains open to anyone right now and the Irish coaches will have plenty of time to make an impression as he won't be deciding any time soon. Top Stories
