Bruton Up to Four Offers

Ohio defensive back David Bruton is starting to see some offers come his way. The Miamisburgh native has four offers already with two just coming recently. Have the Irish offered Bruton?

David Bruton just picked up two more offers recently. "Wisconsin and Duke just offered, Bruton said. "U Conn. and Cincinnati had already offered me."

The 6-2, 180-pound Bruton said he's also received a lot of calls already. "Ohio, Bowling Green, Michigan State, Indiana, Illinois, Duke, West Virginia, Northwestern, Wisconsin, Kentucky and U Conn. have called me so far," said Bruton.

Another school recruiting Bruton is Notre Dame. "I had both my recruiting coach (Mike Denbrock) and the DB coach (Steve Wilks) come by to check me out," Bruton said. "They said they are just waiting for my ACT scores. I'm taking that June 12th so I hope to have those soon. I'm going to their camp June 29th."

Bruton says he'll be busy this summer trying to land more offers. "I'll be going to camps at Illinois, Ohio State, Notre Dame and I'll be at Michigan State's camp in July," Bruton said. "I might stop by Indiana and Wisconsin as well."

Bruton also says he'd like to get his decision out of the way. "I hope to make my decision before my season," he said.

Does Bruton have any favorites? "Notre Dame is still No. 1," Bruton said. "Wisconsin, Michigan State, Iowa and Illinois are also high on my list."

Comments: The Irish are in good shape with Bruton. They'll get a good look at him at camp. We'll keep and eye on his and see if the Irish offer him before camp.
