Felder Lands Big Offers

O'Dea high school in Seattle, Wash. is always good for at least one D1 prospect a year, and this year is no different. Linebacker Anthony Young has been the reason many college coaches have found their way to O'Dea high school this past May. The 6-2, 215-pound Felder already has some impressive offers, and many more are likely on the way. The Irish are interested in Felder. What are his thoughts on Notre Dame?

Anthony Felder ended May with a number of offers. "I have written offers from LSU, Washington, Arizona State, Duke and Penn State," Felder said. "Notre Dame, Oregon and Ohio State have offered me verbally. I don't know when they will come in the mail."

Felder also received some calls this May. "Everyone who offered me, called me, plus Oregon State called," Felder said.

The Irish appear to be hot after Felder. "They called me in about the middle of the month," said Felder of Notre Dame. "They told me that they really liked me and wanted me to play for them. They said I had a chance to start real early there. I like Notre Dame. They've been recruiting me since the beginning. They send me a lot of mail. They've got a great tradition there."

Felder's summer plans have not been finalized as of yet. "I know I have a team camp at Eastern Washington in June," Felder said. "After that, I'm not really sure if I'll go to any camps. I need to sit down with my Dad and talk about that. I think we'll probably go visit some of the schools close to home this summer."

Don't expect and early decision from Felder. "I plan to take all my visits," he said. "I'll probably decide sometime after my season. I really don't have any favorites at this point. I need to talk to my Dad and get that narrowed down because it's getting kind of hectic."

Felder also has a self-reported 2.6 in his core and plans to take his test this Saturday.

Comments: Felder appears wide open at this point. Notre Dame appears to be recruiting him heavily as he said he gets mail from them all the time. He's one to keep an eye on.
