Lagomarsino Has Couple of Offers

Catholic high school in Lansdale, Pa. is home to running back/athlete R.C. Lagomarsino. The 5-11, 180-pound athlete recently ran a 4.4 at a combine and schools are starting to take notice. Are the Irish interested in Lagomarsino? Is he interested in Notre Dame?

R.C. Lagomarsino had an impressive junior season. "I had 224 carries, for 2,052 yards and 24 touchdowns," said Lagomarsino. "I also caught 18 passes, for 452 yards and three touchdowns."

His junior season caught the attention of a number of schools. "Purdue, Pittsburgh and Townson have offered me," said Lagomarsino. "I had a bunch of schools stop by my school. Probably 50 of them or so."

Lagomarsino also received a number of phone calls during the May evaluation period. "Stanford, Virginia, Pittsburgh, Purdue, Northwestern, Princeton, Penn, a bunch of schools called," Lagomarsino said.

The Irish have also been recruiting Lagomarsino. "I didn't get a call, but they send me letter all the time and coach Simmons came by my school," he said. "They said they really want me to come by their camp."

Lagomarsino says he's planning on taking a Midwest trip this summer to see a number of schools. "I plan on going to see a bunch of schools this summer," said Lagomarsino. "I'll probably stop by and attend a bunch of one-day camps. I'll probably stop by Purdue, Northwestern, Notre Dame, Pittsburgh, Virginia and Villanova.

Does R.C. have a list of top schools at this point? "Pretty much those that I've listed. Purdue, Pittsburgh, Notre Dame, Virginia, Stanford and Northwestern," said Lagomarsino."

Lagomarsino also gets it done in the classroom with a 4.0 g.p.a and a 1,230 score on his SAT.

Comments: R.C. said most schools are recruiting him as a runningback/slot receiver type. The Irish appear interested and will get a look at him at camp this summer. We'll keep an eye on him and see if an offer comes his way from Notre Dame. Top Stories
