Moosman Enjoying the Ride

Libertyville, IL is home to offensive lineman David Moosman. The 6-4, 270-pound Moosman has seen his stock skyrocket over the last few months after receiving a number of scholarship offers. What's the latest with Moosman?

David Moosman had a very good May receiving a number of scholarship offers from the likes of Notre Dame, Michigan, Iowa, Wisconsin, Michigan State, and a host of others. "UCLA is the most recent offer I've received," said Moosman. "The rest are pretty much what you had before."

Moosman said he hasn't been on any official visits recently. "The last visits I went on were to Notre Dame, Michigan and Michigan State," Moosman said.

The Illinois native says he's keeps in contact with Notre Dame frequently. "I keep in touch with Mr. Mattison all the time with e-mail," Moosman said. "I talk to most of the coaches by e-mail."

He does plan on attending camps--even if he's not quite sure where. "I know I'm going somewhere this weekend. I'm not sure if it's Iowa or Wisconsin," he said. "I haven't finalized everything yet."

Don't expect an early decision for Moosman. "I plan to make a late decison and take my visits," he said. "Tradition behind the school, the programs' history, academics, and coaching staff; not necessarily in that order," said Moosman when asked what he's looking for in a school.

Last time we spoke to Moosman, he gave us a list of Michigan, Michigan State, Notre Dame, Iowa, Wisconsin and a few other schools as his top schools. When we asked him for his favorites, he said, "It's the same as it was last time. Nothing has really changed."

One thing is for sure, Moosman is enjoying the process. "I'm enjoying it. I'm not getting overwhelmed like my friend Dan Doering. I'm still having fun with it," Moosman said.

Comments: The Irish appear to still be in the race for Moosman. We'll have to wait and see if he attends camp. It appears he won't be deciding any time soon so the Irish will have plenty of time to make an impression. Top Stories
