Duncan Receives Irish Offer

Dallas, Georgia offensive line prospect Paul Duncan has seen a lot of the Fed Ex man lately. The 6-6, 290-pound Duncan is up to over 25 offers, and recently received and offer from Notre Dame. Irish Eyes spoke with Duncan to get his thoughts on his offer from the Irish, and to find out his summer plans. What did Duncan have to say about the Irish offer?

Paul Duncan said his last two offers really impressed him. "My last two were from Notre Dame and LSU," said Duncan. "I was real excited about both. I'd been hoping for the Notre Dame offer, I didn't know if LSU would offer me." Duncan said he has over 25 offers already.

Duncan said he was excited about the Notre Dame offer. "I'd been waiting for it," said Duncan. "I love Notre Dame. He told me that I might get one, and then it came in the mail. I was really excited, and my family was real excited for me."

Duncan also has some future camp plans. "I'm going to a 1-day camp at Duke," Duncan said. "I'm also going to camp at Georgia and Notre Dame. I can't work LSU into my schedule, so I'll just take an unofficial visit there."

An early decision could be in the works for Duncan. "I might decide sometime during my season," he said. "I don't think I'll make a commitment this summer. I want to take some official visits and I'll probably decide sometime during my season."

We asked Duncan what the important factors would be when deciding on a school. "Well, football will be important. I want to play for a winning school because nobody likes to lose. Academics will also be important. One day football will be over and I'll need to have something to do."

Comments: The Irish appear to be in great shape for Duncan. He confirmed he'd be attending the June 29th camp at Notre Dame as well. I expect the Irish coaches to try to get a commitment at camp. We'll see how that works. We'll follow up with him after camp."
