R.C. Lagomarsino said he was very impressed with his Irish camp experience. "I really liked it there," said Lagomarsino. "I really enjoyed the campus and got to meet a lot of people. I liked the coaches, and I thought I did pretty well at the camp."
Lagomarsino said he worked out at two different positions. "They had me working out with the running backs and as a wide receiver," said Lagomarsino. "I did all the agility drills and the individual drills. I thought I did well."
The Landsdale, Pa. native must've performed well because he was called back to speak with Tyrone Willingham. "I talked to him for about and hour and 15 minutes," said Lagomarsino. He's a really good guy. He's real honest and straight forward. He told me they were very interested in me. He said he thought I performed very well, and they wanted to evaluate me a litte more. He said they were really interested in me, but they didn't offer me yet."
Coach Bob Simmons then gave him the Notre Dame tour. "Coach Simmons is the coach recruiting me," said Lagomarsino. "He took me around and showed me everything on campus. I really liked the campus and everyone I met."
At this point, Lagomarsino has offers from Pittsburgh, Northwestern, Purdue and Towson. We asked R.C. what and Irish offer would mean. "It would obviously put them right at the very top," said Lagomarsino. "I really liked it there. I know I can get a good education, and it's Notre Dame football."
As of now, Lagomarsino says he's going to wait and take his visits. "I plan to take my official visits," said Lagomarsino. "I want to check out some more schools before deciding."
Comments: The Irish appears to make a positive impression on Lagomarsino. He's one heck of a player, and we expect a number of schools to start recruiting him in the near future. Here is a copy of his Highlight Film to get an idea of what kind of player Lagomarsino is.
