Martin Frierson says he's been a busy man. "I've been going to different camps. I've been all over the place," Frierson said. "I've been to Miami, I just went to Georgia and I went to Clemson's one-day camp. I also plan to go to Auburn as well."
Frierson says he has two offers so far. "Notre Dame and Vanderbilt have offered me," Frierson said. "A few schools say they are close to offering me. Maryland says they are. Auburn wants me to come down to their camp and they'll probably offer me."
The Hurricanes and the Bulldogs were impressed with Frierson. "Georgia told me they were really interested," Frierson said. "They said they wanted to look at video and that it would probably happen in the future. Miami said they really liked me, but they are only taking one wide receiver this year."
The Irish have offered and Frierson says he's excited about Notre Dame. "Yeah, they've offered in writing," Frierson said of his Irish offer. "I'm definitely interested. They are pretty high on my list. Ever since Tyrone Willingham went there, I've been interested in Notre Dame. I think it would be great to play for him."
Frierson says he hasn't visited Notre Dame, yet. "I haven't gotten the chance to see Notre Dame," he said. "It's far away and gas prices aren't the best. I do want to take an official visit there."
The South Carolina native says he's probably going to take his official visits. "My family tell me to wait and take my visits," Frierson said. "They want me to make sure that I look at all my choices before deciding. I think that's what I'll do."
Academics will be a priority for Frierson when looking at a school. "I need to go to a school with a good education because I don't know if I can make it to the NFL," he said. "I'm also looking for a good team that can be a contender. I'll see how the players bond with the coaching staff and how I fit in there. I'll also look at the players that will be coming in with me."
Frierson also gave us a list of his top schools at this point. "I'd say Notre Dame, Miami, Maryland, Auburn, Georgia, Clemson, USC and Vanderbilt," Frierson said.
Comments: The Irish appear to be in good shape with Frierson. He says he does plan to take his visits so we might not know where he stands for a while. He's another to keep an eye on.
