Safety prospect Nick Harris attended a couple of camps this summer. "I went to camps at Texas A&M and LSU this summer," said Harris. "I liked both camps. I learned a lot at both of them."
Harris says he's up to 21 offers at this point. "I have a lot of offers, 21 I think," Harris said. "LSU, Miami, Notre Dame, Nebraska, Michigan, Ohio State, UCLA, USC, Arizona State, those are some of them."
We asked Harris if the Irish have offered him in writing? "No, it was a verbal offer through my coaches," Harris said. "They told him they were really interested in me and they wanted me."
Is Harris interested in Notre Dame? "Yeah, I'm interested in Notre Dame," he said. "I'm interested in anyone that is interested in me. I don't know much about Notre Dame, but I'm interested. I haven't really talked to them because they can't call me. I'll talk to them when they can call me in September."
Harris says he plans on taking his visits at this point. "I won't be deciding early," Harris said. "I will take all five of my visits. I'll probably decide sometime before signing day."
We asked Harris what would be the important factors in his decision. "Location, the staff and academics," he said. "I want to make sure I get along with everyone, too."
Most Louisiana prospects end up playing for LSU, we asked Harris if it was likely he'd stay in the area. "I don't know," he said. "I'm going where I feel the most comfortable and I feel the most wanted. That could be anywhere."
Does Harris have a list of favorites? "No, I haven't narrowed it down yet." said Harris. "I have no idea when I will. I'm really wide open right now."
Harris is also a solid student in the classroom. "I have a 3.5 in my core. I scored a 22 on my A.C.T. They had it down as a 19, but I took it again and got a 22."
