Wilson Will Wait

Akron, Ohio defensive end Lawrence Wilson had planned to make a decision before his season. That plans has changed according to Wilson. Irish Eyes spoke with Wilson to find out the latest.

Lawrence Wilson says he's decided he's going to wait before making his final decision.

"I've decided I'm not going to make my decision, yet," said Wilson. "I want to wait it out and take some time before deciding."

We asked Wilson why he deicided to wait before making his decision.

"I just couldn't come up a decision I felt comfortable with," Wilson said. "It's just too hard to choose right now."

When we spoke to Wilson last week, he told us his top three were Ohio State, Pittsburgh and Notre Dame. We asked Wilson if these were the teams he was trying to decide between.

"Yeah, it's still those three," Wilson said. "I plan to set up some official visits there once schools starts. I want to get an idea of what it's like when the students are there."

How many visits is Wilson likely to take?

"I'd like to take them all," Wilson said. "We'll see."

Comments: The Wilson family mentioned to me in an earlier interview that they'd like for Lawrence to take a few visits to get an idea of campus life at each school before deciding. His decision to wait does not surprise me because of this previous conversation. It appears the schools still have some selling to do before he decides. We will check back in a few weeks to see if Lawrence has set any of his visits.
