Linebacker Steve Quinn is starting to get a lot of notice from some of the top schools in the country.
"I have offers from Syracuse, West Virginia, Delaware and Penn State," Quinn said. "I think Pittsburgh has also offered, but I'm not sure on that, yet."
A number of schools are also recruiting Quinn at this point.
"Northwestern, Wisconsin, Pittsburgh and Notre Dame are some others that appear to be interested," Quinn said.
Quinn recently returned from a midwest trip where he visited a number of schools.
"We went to see Northwestern, Wisconsin and Notre Dame," Quinn said. "They were all really nice schools. I liked all of them. They all had something different about them."
Quinn said he spent some time with linebacker coach Bob Simmons on his recent visit to Notre Dame.
"I met with a couple of coaches at Notre Dame," said Quinn. "Coach Simmons took me around on a tour of the school. I talked with him for quite a while. Notre Dame told me they would know by the end of the month if they were going to offer me. Northwestern and Wisconsin also said they would let me know soon if they were going to offer."
Does Quinn have any favorites at this point?
"The two that offered me, Syracuse and Penn State, they stand out because they've offered me," Quinn said. "Notre Dame is right up there and so is Northwestern and Wisconsin."
Quinn says he might wait a bit before making his final decision.
"I had planned on committing early," Quinn said. "I'm not sure if I'll do that now. I might wait and see what Notre Dame, Northwestern and Wisconsin do. I might wait and see what comes along."
Quinn is also fully qualified with a 2.8 in his core g.p.a and he scored a 1,000 on his S.A.T.
Comments: Quinn is another linebacker to keep an eye on. He seemed very interested in Notre Dame when speaking with him. An Irish offer would likely put Notre Dame in the race, and maybe as the top school. We'll check back soon with Quinn to see if the Irish offer.
