Defensive back Cary Harris has been working on setting up his official visits this season.
"I've set up one visit for Cal on November 20th," said Harris. "I'm trying to set up a date with Notre Dame, and I'm thinking about setting up a visit with Washington State. I'm not sure about Washington State yet."
Besides the three mentioned, Harris also has a number of schools still on his list.
"I'm also considering USC, Arizona State and UCLA as well," said Harris. "I'm not sure if I'll visit USC or UCLA since they're local."
We asked Harris if he planned to take all five of his official visits.
"I'm not sure if I'll take all five. I might just take three or four," Harris said.
While Harris plays both corner and running back, "all the schools are recruiting me to play corner," said Harris when asked what position he'll play in college.
The Irish have been actively recruiting the talented Sherman Oaks, Calif. native.
"Coach Baer has been recruiting me," he said. "I haven't talked to coach Willingham yet. We've talked about setting up a visit, but we haven't got that far yet. I should have a visit set up with them soon."
We asked Harris what attracts him to Notre Dame.
"It's a very good school," Harris said of Notre Dame. "I have a cousin that goes there so I know a lot about the environment and the academics. They have a good program and great tradition. Coach Willingham is turning the program around there."
Harris also said he'll know what he's looking for when he makes his official visits.
"I'm going to look at how they run their program," Harris said when asked what he's looking for in a school. "I'll also look at their academics and how quickly I can get on the field."
Comments: The Irish should get a visit from Harris. As with most California kids, we won't really know much until Harris takes his visit to Notre Dame. Most expect him to stay out west when all is said and done, but he does seem to be interested in at least visiting Notre Dame.
