Eubanks Narrowing List

St. Paul, Minn. native Rafael Eubanks recently returned from an unofficial visit to Iowa. The 6-3, 300-pound Eubanks is also starting to narrow down his list of favorites in order to start scheduling his official visits. Which schools will Eubanks be visiting?

Rafael Eubanks says he enjoyed his unofficial visit to Iowa this past weekend.

"I had a good time," said Eubanks of his Iowa visit. "I went with my dad and three players from my school.

"I also got to meet Dan (Doering) and Dace (Richardson) for the first time. We had a great time chatting during the game. They were great guys.

"We'll all be down there in a couple months for official visits so it was nice to meet them. We might run into each other on other official visits. It seems we like a lot of the same schools."

Eubanks has also set his first official visit.

"I'm going to Iowa on December 10th. That's the only visit I've set so far," he said.

We asked Eubanks which schools he was considering for his final four visits.

"Right now I'm thinking about six schools," Eubanks said. "Minnesota, Notre Dame, Miami, Oklahoma, Wisconsin, Tennessee, oh, and Maryland. Those are the schools I'm still considering.

"I'll probably set them up in the next couple of weeks. I've been pretty busy so I haven't had a chance to sit down and make the decisions on where to visit."

One school Eubanks is almost certain he'll visit is Notre Dame.

"I'd say it's very likely I'll visit Notre Dame," he said. "I'm trying to decide on which date. Coach Mattison and I have been talking about it. I'll know in the next week or two."

In fact, Eubanks could be taking an unofficial visit to Notre Dame this weekend.

"I'm thinking about getting down to Notre Dame this weekend for an unofficial visit," Eubanks said. "We have a game on Thursday against Evangel Christian in Louisiana so I'd have time, but we start our playoffs on Tuesday so we might have a practice scheduled for Saturday. We'll have to see on when we practice."

Comments: We think Eubanks should set a visit fairly soon for Notre Dame. Eubanks also plans to take all of his official visits before deciding. He seems wide open at this point with no clear leader. Top Stories
