By The IrishEyes.Com NewsService

At approximately 9 p.m. on New Year’s Eve 2001, the University of Notre Dame quietly announced – via press release – Tyrone Willingham as its new head football coach.

The formal introduction of Willingham to the media and Notre Dame community will take place Tuesday at noon Eastern at the Monogram Room.  IrishEyes founder and long-time Notre Dame football beat writer Joe Tybor will be on the scene to lead our coverage.

Happy New Year’s from IrishEyes.
