Offensive lineman Rafael Eubanks is still enjoying his final season for Cretim Derham high school.
"We have a our sectional final on Friday," said Eubanks. "If we win that game, we'll be in the state playoffs. We played the same team last year in the sectional final. It should be a good game."
Eubanks has also scheduled some of his official visits.
"I scheduled a visit to Notre Dame for their banquet on December 3rd," said Eubanks. "I have the visit to Iowa on December 10th, and I've scheduled a visit to Minnesota on December 17th."
We asked Eubanks what he planned to do with his final two visits.
"I am not sure yet," he said. "I'm still considering Miami, Oklahoma, Maryland and Wisconsin for my final two visits. I haven't decided yet on which schools I'll visit."
The talented offensive lineman says he plans to take all of his visits at this point.
"I believe I'll take all five of my visits," he said. "I'm very interested in all the schools I've mentioned and I haven't seen many of the schools I've listed.
"I think it's important to take a look at all of them and get a feeling with how I fit in with the players and the coaching staff. That will be very important to me."
Comments: The Irish got a visit scheduled, which is the first step. Eubanks remains wide open at this point, but we feel the Irish should be in the race until the end. We'll check back in a few weeks and see if Eubanks has scheduled the remainder of his official visits.
