Offensive lineman Paul Duncan already taking three official visits so far. His latest visit was to LSU this past weekend.
"I thought it was pretty nice," Duncan said of his LSU visit. "I really liked the coaches there. They shoot it to you straight. They just don't tell you what you want to hear.
"I met a couple of the players and I like them. I feel like I could fit in there."
Duncan has now taken more than half of his official visits and we asked Duncan which visit, between LSU, Oklahoma and UCLA, he liked the best.
"I'd say Oklahoma and LSU were pretty close. If I had to decide, I'd probably say Oklahoma," Duncan said. "I think they are most likely to win a National Championship and that is something I like."
Duncan will visit Duke this weekend and will follow that visit with a visit to Notre Dame on December 3rd. The last time we spoke with Duncan, the Irish had been out in front. We asked Duncan if that was still the situation or if anything had changed recently.
"It's pretty close," he said. "I'd say Notre Dame is probably a little bit out in front but it's close. Oklahoma and LSU are real close behind."
We also asked Duncan what he thought the final deciding factors would be when he made his decision.
"I'd say Notre Dame's football is not as strong as the others," said Duncan. "They have strong football, but not as strong as the others.
"But Notre Dame can give me a lot after football. They have so much more to offer after football so I need to weigh all of that. Oklahoma probably gives me the best chance to win a National Championship. I just need to think about all of that."
When will Duncan be making his final decision?
"I want to make my decision before Christmas," said Duncan. "I should have it done by then."
Comments: Sounds like the Irish might be slipping a bit with Duncan. I think Notre Dame has a good shot, and they haven't had their say yet on an official visit. I'd say Oklahoma will be Notre Dame's competition when it's all said and done.
