Abdallah Reschedules Irish Visit

Princeton, N.J. defensive lineman Luqman "Luke" Abdallah has started to schedule his official visits. The 6-4, 305-pound Abdallah had been scheduled for an official visit this weekend to Notre Dame. That has changed. We spoke to Abdallah to get the latest on his recruitment.

Defensive lineman Luqman Abdallah was scheduled to visit for the banquet this weekend but said he's rescheduled his official visit to Notre Dame.

"We had to reschedule the visit," said Abdallah. "I haven't been cleared yet. I think we've rescheduled that for the second or third weekend in January. Coach Simmons is supposed to let me know on that real soon."

Abdallah has scheduled a number of his other official visits.

"I have Michigan State set up for December 10th. Rutgers is now this weekend, and Miami is January 17th I believe," said Abdallah.

We asked Abdallah if he planned to take his final official visit.

"I'm not really sure what I plan to do," he said. "I'm really open right now. I'm listening to a couple of schools. Virginia Tech, Ohio State and Iowa are some of the schools I'm looking at."

With offers from Rugters, Michigan State and Vandy under his belt, Abdallah says he'll likely take all of his visit to see what options he'll have before deciding.

"I plan to take them all," he said. "I want to see what each school has to offer. I really don't have a leader right now. I'll decide that after my visits."

Comments: The Irish appear to still be recruiting Abdallah pretty heavily. I assume just some paperwork needs to be taken care of. We'll check back after this week to see if Abdallah has a firm date scheduled with Notre Dame.
