Is Bruton Still Solid?

Miamisburgh, Ohio defensive back David Bruton has been committed to Notre Dame since July. We spoke with the 6-2, 180-pound safety prospect on Tuesday to find out the latest with Bruton. Is he still solid with Notre Dame?

Ohio defensive back David Bruton told us early last week that he would be waiting to see what happens with the Notre Dame coaching search. We asked Bruton if that was still the plan.

"I am still waiting," said Bruton. "Notre Dame can't seem to get a coach. I don't know how they can't get a coach. It's frustrating to sit here and wait to what they are going to do."

We asked Bruton if he has been talking with other schools at this point.

"Yes I have," said Bruton. "I've been talking to Wisconsin and I'm taking a visit there this Friday. I'm not talking to anyone else, just them."

Bruton said he's not sure what he plans to do at this point.

"I don't know what I'll do," said Bruton when asked if he might commit to Wisconsin if he likes the visit. "I'll probably come home and talk to my parents and think about it. I really don't know what I plan to do."

Comments: Bruton seemed disgruntled with the Irish coaching situation. As I state before, the longer this drags out, the worse it will be for recruiting. What is important, however, is for the Irish to hire the right coach. We'll check back with David after his visit this weekend. Top Stories
