Scout.com four-star tight end prospect James Dray's visit schedule is starting to shape up.
"I've already visited Boston College, and I have a visit scheduled with Stanford on January 6th," said Dray. "Coach Weis called me last night and we scheduled a visit for January 28th for Notre Dame."
We asked Dray what he thought of his conversation with coach Weis.
"I was kind of nervous talking to him at first," said Dray. "He's just won two Super Bowls. But he's a good guy and he's really personable. When he talks about football, you want to listen to what he has to say because he knows what he's talking about."
We talked about how he uses the tight end in his offense. You can tell from his record that he knows what he's doing on offense."
With Stanford and Notre Dame lined up, Dray has two remaining visits left to schedule.
"I'm thinking about Florida State and Tennessee," he said. "Oh, and Iowa as well. Those are the only schools I'm still considering."
We asked Dray what he thinks about Notre Dame and where they stand on his favorites list.
"They're definitely one of my favorites," Dray said of the Irish. "I've set up a visit there. I grew up in an Irish/Catholic family. I've always wanted to go to Notre Dame since I was a little kid."
Comments: Dray seemed pretty excited about his Irish visit and conversation with coach Weis. It would not surprise us if Notre Dame and Weis ended up with the upset and landed Dray in the end. He doesn't seem to be leaning to any one school at this point.
