Duncan Confirms Irish Visit

Dallas, Ga. offensive tackle prospect Paul Duncan has already visited four school so far this recruiting season. The 6-6, 285-pound Duncan has one visit left and will be traveling to Notre Dame on January 7th. When will Duncan be making his final decision?

Scout.com four-star offensive line prospect Paul Duncan says he's narrowed his list down to three.

"I've narrowed my list to Notre Dame, LSU and Duke right now," said Duncan. "I have a visit scheduled for Notre Dame on January 7th."

Irish head coach Charlie Weis has already made a positive impression on the Dallas, Ga. native.

"I just talked to him last night," Duncan said of Weis. "I really like him a lot. You can tell he has the capability to prepare a team for Saturdays, but he can also prepare you for Sundays. You combine his experience with everything else that Notre Dame offers and that's a pretty good."

Duncan had indicated earlier that he'd make a decision shortly after his visit to Notre Dame. We asked him if that was still his plan.

"I should know soon after my visit," he said. "I don't plan on dragging this out. I'm looking forward to meeting coach Weis in person and some of his new assistant coaches."

The Irish have led this race most of the way. That appears to still be the case.

"I'd say Notre Dame is still my leader," said Duncan when asked if he had a favorite.

We also asked Duncan if he had any coaches coming to visit him at his school the next week.

"No, none that I know of," Duncan said.

Comments: It appears it will all boil down to his official visit to Notre Dame. We think the Irish will be very difficult to beat when Duncan makes his decision.
