Another In-home With Wilson

Akron, Ohio defensive lineman Lawrence Wilson entertained some Irish coaches on Wednesday night for what was likely their last in-home visit and chance to lure the Scout.com four-star prospect. Wilson had planned to make his decision this weekend. We spoke with Wilson on Wednesday to find out the latest.

Notre Dame held likely their last in-home visit with defensive end Lawrence Wilson on Wednesday evening.

"Coach Haywood, coach Oliver and coach Parmalee just left my house," Wilson said. "It was a good visit. We mainly just talked about the same things. Talked about the education, how I fit in there--pretty much the same things."

Wilson also had some surprise visitors waiting for him at school on Wednesday.

"I came to school at the Florida coaches were there," he said. "They just kind of popped in. I didn't know they were coming."

Is Wilson considering Florida again?

"I'm not sure," Wilson said. "I'm kind of thinking about them."

The Irish likely had their last chance to impress him so we asked Wilson if he was done with unofficial visits at this point.

"I'm not sure. Ohio State wants to come in later this week. I'm not sure if I'll do that. It's not scheduled yet," he said.

The last time we spoke with Wilson he told Irish Eyes that the Irish were moving up. We asked the Akron, Ohio native where Notre Dame stands at this point.

"They're still moving up," he said. "It's really close between Notre Dame and Ohio State right now."

With less than a week away, Wilson says he's not sure when he plans to decide.

"I was shooting for this weekend, but I'm not sure now," he said. "It might be this weekend or early next week."

Comments: In talking to Wilson, it sounded like he was still confused about where he was headed. The Irish appear to be inching closer to Ohio State at this point. Can they pass the Buckeyes before signing day? We think there is still a lot of cards left to be played before Wilson decides.
