Offensive Lineman Has Irish Offer

Cincinnati, Ohio offensive lineman Aaron Brown is a hot prospect. With 39 offers, everyone in the country is after the 6-6, 285-pound Brown. We recently spoke with Brown's father, George, to get an update on his recruitment. Are the Irish involved with Brown?

Irish Eyes spoke with the father of Aaron Brown on Sunday night to find out if one of the Midwest's top linemen has interest in Notre Dame.

"Aaron has 39 offers right now," said Brown's father George. "We just got back from the All-American photo shoot at Michigan State. We also went to Michigan to check them out."

The Irish have recently thrown their hat in the ring with an offer for Brown.

"We're definitely interested right now," said George of the Irish. "They offered about a week ago. We're going to take a visit up there, but we still have to get back to coach Minter on when we're coming.

"They want us to come up for their spring game, but we have a prior commitment so we can't make it for that. It will either be for a practice or sometime shortly after their spring game."

Brown has been taking a number of unofficial visits already this spring.

"We've been to Ohio State, UC (Cincinnati), Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Pittsburgh, Maryland, West Virginia, Michigan, Michigan State, Tennessee, Indiana, Louisville and Purdue already. We've been real busy with that," George said.

Don't look for a decision from Brown any time soon.

"It going to be awhile," said George when asked if Aaron might make an early decision. "We're going to take a lot more unofficial visits and then he's going to take his official visits. He won't make a decision any time soon."

Comments: George said Aaron is wide open right now and they won't be narrowing down his list of school for awhile. The Irish are in the mix, but with 39 offers, it's hard to know where they are in that mix. We'll check back soon to see if Brown visits South Bend and his reaction to the visit. Top Stories
