Michigan and Ohio State had been mentioned in the past as teams that had a leg up on the competition, but as the calendar turns to July Jeremiha Hunter (6-0, 200-pound) has nine schools on even footing.
"I really don't have a high or low, there are schools that I'm interested in and I'd say they're all medium because I'm considering all the same," Hunter said.
"I haven't done too much studying on team's depth charts yet, but I plan on doing that real soon to see who's leaving, who's coming in, who they are recruiting, who they have committed.
"If there's one college that I'm really, really considering its definitely Iowa because they have three All-American linebackers that are leaving soon, so that's a good opportunity," Hunter added.
"I'll probably take some visits during the football season," Hunter explained. "I'm going to try to take all of my visits in and around the same time so I can have a fresh idea after I visit the schools of where I can see myself being.
With Hunter's size he could be used at several linebacker positions, but he does have a preference.
"I like playing strong-side linebacker, but I'm listed as a weak-side linebacker," he explained. "I prefer strong-side backer because I like to disrupt a lot of stuff, instead of coming in free. I like everything around me; I like everything coming my way.
Comments: Hunter is an outstanding prospect and Notre Dame has tabbed him as one of their main targets at linebacker. I think he likes Notre Dame, but he doesn't know a lot about the program at this time. He's fairly wide open, so the Irish do have a shot, but I do think they will need to make up some ground.
