Notre Dame Offers Moore

Notre Dame is the latest school to offer Midwest City High School standout LaRon Moore.

If versatility is what college coaches are truly looking for, then LaRon Moore is certainly in a good position.

"They just tell me what position I could play the earliest," Moore said of what position most colleges are recruiting him as. "Athlete."

Notre Dame gave the 5-9, 185-pound Midwest City, Okla. recruit a verbal offer earlier this spring. That offer has now changed for the better.

"It was in the mail yesterday," Moore said of his official offer from Notre Dame.

So which schools top Moore's list right now?

"Notre Dame, Oklahoma State, Stanford … I like Louisiana State, Kansas and Nebraska."

Moore has already been to 7-on-7 tournaments at Kansas and Tulsa this summer and is planning an unofficial visit as well.

"Probably Louisiana State," said Moore when asked about possibly taking unofficial visits this summer. "I'm going down there on the 23rd (of July)."

SMITTY'S TAKE - Moore is an even keeled young man. He is not the type to become too high or too low with the recruiting process. He is definitely high on the Irish, but he is in no rush to make a decision.

Notre Dame offered Moore as a wide receiver, but he will likely receive a look at both sides of the ball regardless of which school he chooses to play for. Top Stories
