Defensive line prospect Lawrence Marsh recently visited a few college campuses.
"I just got back from North Carolina," said Marsh. "I liked it there. It was a good school. I liked the campus there.
"I also went to Auburn. That was great. I liked about everything at Auburn."
The two unofficial visits might be all Marsh can fit in this summer.
"I don't know if I'll go on any more," he said when asked if he planned more visits this summer. "I'll have to see. Our camp begins next Sunday, so I probably won't have time to get to any more schools."
The Irish continue to recruiting Marsh heavily, and the Josey high school star says he plans to visit Notre Dame in the future.
"I like Notre Dame a lot," he said. "I like everything about them. They have great academics and football.
"I've talked to coach Weis before, and I liked him a lot. I think he's going to be a great coach there. I'm going to go up there for a visit sometime during my season."
Has Marsh scheduled an official visit with Notre Dame?
"Not yet, but I do plan to visit there," he said.
The Irish usually struggle pulling top prospects from the South, but Marsh says he has no qualms about leaving home for school.
"I don't have a problem leaving home," he said. "My mom is giving me the green light to go wherever I feel the most comfortable. It's nice to know that I'll have the support to go anywhere at home."
Since we last spoke with Marsh, a few new offers have come his way.
"I think I'm up to 15 right now," he said. "Florida, Purdue and Louisville are the latest to offer. Ohio State and Indiana seem close to offering me as well."
Does Marsh have any favorites at this point?
"No, I'm really wide open," said Marsh. "I really haven't begun to think about that. I'll probably take some visits during the season and then we'll see what happens."
Comments: The Irish appear to have caught Marsh's attention. Like always with southern players, we won't know until he visits. The good news is he seems very set on making an official visit to Notre Dame.
