Brown Lands Another Offer

Athlete Sergio Brown keeps landing new offers and opportunities. The 6-2, 190-pound two-way player landed another offer recently that he'd been waiting for. We spoke with Brown on Wednesday to find out the latest on his recruitment.

Athlete Sergio Brown says he got some good news on Wednesday.

"I just got an offer from Notre Dame today," said Brown. "I was pretty happy about that. I liked it there when I visited."

Brown had mentioned to Irish Eyes before that he was hoping for an Irish offer. We asked what this offer meant for the Irish at this point.

"They're in my top two at this point," said Brown. "My thoughts are pretty strong on Notre Dame."

We asked Brown which other schools he liked at this point besides Notre Dame.

"Illinois, Nebraska, UCLA, Iowa, Purdue....those are the main ones right now," Brown said.

The Maywood, Ill. native says he plans to take some official visits before deciding.

"I plan to take some visits during my season," he said. "I'll probably take at least a couple. I'll take one to Nebraska I'm pretty sure. I don't know if I'll need to take all five. It will probably only be a couple."

Comments: The offer was something Brown had been hoping for. The Irish are definitely in the race, and we think they have a great shot to land Brown in the end. We'll check back with Sergio fairly soon as he said he'd be trying to set up some visits soon.
