Walls Selects Notre Dame

Notre Dame landed one of its biggest recruits in recent memory this morning when Woodland Hills High School standout Darrin Walls selected Notre Dame over a host of other offers including Florida, Michigan, Pittsburgh, Penn State, West Virginia and Southern California.

The hunt is finally over. Notre Dame has landed its man, Darrin Walls, CB, 6-1, 175-pounds, Pittsburgh, Pa., (Woodland Hills).

Walls held a press conference this morning at 9 am EST to announce his decision. He is the 19th commitment for Notre Dame for the class of 2006.

Notre Dame now has five defensive backs committed: Walls, cornerback Raeshon McNeil, and three safeties, Jashaad Gaines, Leonard Gordon and Sergio Brown.
