Eliades Confirms Official Visit

Lou Eliades suffered a foot injury recently that could have become very serious. He has battled back through the pain and plans to play this weekend against Brick Memorial before traveling to Notre Dame the next morning.

A late addition to the official visit list for Notre Dame this weekend is Lou Eliades, OL, 6-4, 285 pounds, Oakhurst, N.J., (Ocean Township). He will be one of three offensive linemen visiting along with Matt Carufel and Jacques McClendon.

Eliades was blunt when asked why he wanted to visit Notre Dame this weekend instead of waiting.

"USC game," he said quickly when asked when he planned to visit South Bend. "And I wanted to visit that school just in case I wanted to commit early and I wouldn't have to wait to visit that school."

"It's a 6 am flight," he said. "It's about an hour to the airport."

Eliades has already taken an official visit to South Carolina (Sep. 17) and is also scheduled to visit Virginia Tech (Nov. 5). There is one more school Eliades may decide to take an official visit to as well.

"Penn State," Eliades admitted. "Yeah, possibly."

Eliades had missed some time with a foot injury, but he is now back and ready to play.

"I practiced today," Eliades said confidently. "It hurt a lot. My foot was all swollen up."

Eliades does not have a set time frame to make his college decision.
