Ouch for the Notre Dame football team, who played with desire not seen in what seems like a decade. Ouch for the Irish coaching staff, which also put together a fantastic game plan that has been lacking for the same decade. And ouch for the Irish fans, especially the many who likely can't utter a word due to lack of voice or desire to live the last two minutes again. Ouch, ouch, ouch!!
This one will hurt and hurt for a long time, but I can't imagine what the Notre Dame football team must feel like today.
There isn't much to say about this game. All that needed to be said was said on the field--the way it should be.
And even though the Irish lost on Saturday, they really won. Notre Dame won their respect, and being feared is not far behind.
