Chris Stewart has had his college choices narrowed down to LSU, Ole Miss, Texas A&M and the Irish for several months. He took an official visit to Notre Dame for the Michigan State game, and he had visited the other schools unofficially in the past. Other sources have noted that Stewart was planning to take official visits to LSU, Ole Miss or Texas A&M in the coming weeks.
"My schedule is pretty hectic all the way up to Christmas so I don't think I'll take a trip to any of the other schools like I had planned," he said. "I've been to those schools already, so I think I know what they offer.
With the Irish continuing to roll up wins, the Notre Dame staff would like to get as many of their recruiting targets on campus for the final two home games against Navy and Syracuse.
"I'd like to get up to see Notre Dame again," Stewart said of the possibility that he'd visit Notre Dame for an unofficial visit. "I thought about the Navy game, but it's a little late to get a reasonable priced flight. I might try to make it in for the Syracuse game, but I'll have to see with my schedule being so busy."
Stewart will be graduating early and he will enroll in his college of choice in December, so a decision should be right around the corner for this talented Texan.
"I'll probably make a decision in the next couple weeks," Stewart said of his pending decision.
