Will West Enroll Early?

Oklahoma City, Okla. wide receiver George West has been contemplating a decision to bypass the second semester of his senior year in high school and enroll early at Notre Dame. West hadn't made up his mind the last time we spoke with the 5-10, 180-pound receiver. Has he made up his mind now?

Irish Eyes spoke with wide receiver prospect George West briefly on Wednesday evening as West was getting ready for bed.

"I still haven't made a decision," West said when asked if he planned to enroll this January at Notre Dame.

"I should have a decision sometime by the end of next week," he added.

West said he knew that he had to come up with a decision soon.

"We've talked about it, but we need to talk about it a little more," he said of his family. "We just need to talk about it and then I'll decide."

We asked West if he was leaning towards enrolling early at this point.

"Yeah, but I'm not sure on that," he said. "I'll decide by the end of next week."

West's early enrollment will be key for the Irish as they're running out of scholarships and still have some top prospects left to decide. If the Oklahoma native decides to enroll early it will open up another slot for another player to be added to this recruiting class.
