"Everything is going good right now," Allen responded when asked how recruiting was progressing. "I got an offer from Miami last week. I've also gotten USC, Florida State and Texas.
"All of them are great offers, but I was always a big fan of Florida State because was always a big fan of Peter Warrick and Dion Sanders. Weather-wise it's nice and there are a lot things I like, so I'm going take some visits and see how I like everything.
"I didn't think it was going to be like this, I knew there would be some offers, but I didn't know it was going to be like this. I work hard, and when you work hard good things happen to you.
"Right now, just cornerback," Allen replied when asked the position schools were recruiting him to play. "Most everybody is recruiting me as defensive back, but I can do everything, I can even play quarterback.
"I like defense a lot but if I just played punt return or kick-off return I'd be all right. Just to get my hands on the ball."
In addition to the Miami, USC, Texas Florida State offers, Allen has offers from every school he is considering, including Notre Dame.
"I talk to coach Weis every week," Allen said. "I really like him. He's down to earth. He'll tell you everything from his heart. Overall he's a great person. I talked to him last week about coming down there for a spring practice with I'm looking for a place where I can just be myself. I know I have to work hard wherever I go."
Although Allen has all the offers he needs, but he isn't prepared to narrow down his list of schools just yet.
"Not right now," He replied when asked if he had begun to pare down his list. "Like I told you I didn't know it would come like this. I'll need to talk it over with my parents and narrow it down later."
As a junior Dionte recorded 51 tackles and five interceptions. On offense, he caught 17 receptions for 299 yards and two touchdowns. He ran for 54 yards on eight carries and returned eight kicks for 228 yards.
