Paskorz Will Take Another Look at ND Top-100 prospect Steve Paskorz of Hampton high school (Allison Park, Pa.) has been slowed this spring with an ankle injury, but that won't stop him from making a second trip to Notre Dame this weekend.

This weekend's spring game will be Notre Dame's third and final junior day event. Steve Paskorz (6-2, 215 pounds) already made the trip to South Bend once in January, and he'll be headed back with his family the weekend.

"I'm going over to Notre Dame this weekend," Paskorz said of his plans to visit Notre Dame for their spring game. "I spoke with coach Latina and he seemed pretty interested and with all the spring games going on, I just really wanted to make it out to Notre Dame. If they offer that's really a college that I'm going to consider, so I'd like to be out there as many times as possible.

"They're recruiting me as a linebacker. At the junior day the linebacker coach talked about the schemes that they play, so here I'll be able to see them perform and see exactly what they do before the game."

Although this will only be Steve's second visit to Notre Dame, he feels that he and his family got a very good feel for what the school offers academically. The purpose of this visit will be to get a small sense of what a game day would be like as well as to meet more Irish players.

"After the junior day me and my family went out and looked at the campus, so school-wise no,' replied Paskorz when asked if he needed more time to become familiar with Notre Dame campus. "I didn't get to see any games last year. I haven't seen the stadium yet, so I just want to see that, see the atmosphere and watch the team play.

"I really didn't get a chance to meet any players, there were only recruits and coaches because they were on winter break."

Paskorz also visited Michigan, Pitt, West Virginia, and Virginia for junior days, but he didn't get an opportunity to meet players except during his visit to Pitt.

"At Pitt I was definitely talking to a lot of players because some of them live near me so they were talking to me," he said.

Paskorz currently has scholarship offers from Michigan, Pitt, Virginia, West Virginia, Ole Miss, and Indiana.

As a junior, Paskorz rushed for 1,291 yards on 160 carries and scored 14 touchdowns, despite missing time due to an ankle injury. He has rushed for 3,478 yards in two seasons. Top Stories
