Justin Trattou (6-4. 235 pounds) and Mike Ragone (6-5, 230-pounds) visited Notre Dame in January for a junior day, but the campus was relatively vacant with the students on winter break. This trip will be a much different experience as Notre Dame concludes spring practice with the annual Blue-Gold game that could draw as many as 40,000 fans.
"I'm going this coming weekend." Trattou confirmed when asked if he was making the trip to South Bend. "I'm going with my dad and I'll be in on Friday."
Justin has been in regular contact with the Notre Dame coaching staff and he knows what Notre Dame brings to the table academically.
"Every coach I've met I thought was great," Justin said. "I'm just curious to see what the campus is like. Last time I was there everyone was on winter break."
Last season Trattou recorded 90 tackles, four sacks, and he blocked one punt.
Trattou didn't get a chance to meet Mike Ragone in January, but it's likely that the New Jersey natives will have more time during this visit to get to know each other. Like Trattou, Ragone knows what Notre Dame offers, but he is anxious to get a feel for campus life.
"I'm definitely going to be there," Ragone responded when asked if he was making the trip to Notre Dame's spring game. "I thought the first visit was a good experience, but I wanted to make sure what it was like. I want to see how the atmosphere is with the students there. I just want to see everything again.
"I have very high interest in Notre Dame," Ragone added.
As a junior Ragone had 30 receptions for 800 yards and eight touchdowns.
