Warren Adds Midwest Offer

Notre Dame will need to bring in at least two cornerbacks in the 2007 recruiting class. One of the best corner prospects in the country is Donovan Warren of Polytechnic high school (Long Beach, Calif.), and Warren appears to have a tremendous amount of interest in the Irish.

Scout.com Top-100 cornerback prospect Donovan Warren (5-11, 185-pounds) already has scholarship offers from many of the top schools in the country but he is still waiting on the Irish to come through.

"They've been paying me some attention," responded Warren when asked how hard the Irish were recruiting him. "They haven't visited my school yet, but they will be by pretty soon. Coach Polian has talked to my coaches though and he said they really like my tape so I hope they offer. They asked for my transcripts recently."

Warren already has scholarship offers from USC, UCLA, Oregon, Arizona, Mississippi, Cal, Arizona State, Mississippi State, and he recently received another big offer from the Midwest.

"I just got an offer from Michigan," Warren said of his latest scholarship offer. "I like them. I like coach English. They have a good situation there. I'll definitely take a look at them.

"I'm just waiting and letting things come to me. I'm still pretty wide open. Everyone has a chance. I'm going to look at everyone and then try to narrow my list down before my season."

Before Donovan is ready to narrow his options down, he will take a look at a couple schools.

"I'm planning on taking some unofficial visits. I'm going to take one to Arizona State and one to Notre Dame," Warren explained. "I'm not sure exactly when, but it will be sometime this summer. I want to find out what Notre Dame is all about. I want to see what all the tradition."

As a junior, Warren had 51 tackles and one interception.
