Trattou Makes Seven Top-100 defensive end prospect Justin Trattou of Don Bosco Prep (Ramsey, N.J.) became the seventh player to commit to Notre Dame's 2007 recruiting class. Trattou select the Irish over Penn State Florida and Ohio State.

Charlie Weis and his staff have gotten a foothold in the talent rich state of New Jersey as Justin Trattou joins Hoboken's Duval Kamara and Camden's Mike Ragone as the third player from the Garden State to pledge to the Irish this year.

"In the fall of 2007 I'll be attending the University of Notre Dame," Trattou announced on ESPNU this afternoon

"I just think overall it was a great fit for me. I got along with all the coaches and all the players. I just overall liked the atmosphere."

"At Notre Dame they have a shortage of defensive ends that are graduating this year. I have a chance to get on the field and use my speed and skill and just try to get on the field."

"He's a down-to-earth, straightforward guy from New Jersey so we got along well." Trattou said of Weis.

As a junior Trattou recorded 86 tackles and 9.5 sacks. Top Stories
