Nwankwo likes Gators and Irish

Notre Dame is looking to for some additional offensive lineman in the 2007 recruiting class, and Emeka Nwankwo of Chaminade Madonna College Prep (Hollywood, Fla.) would be a fantastic player to add. He has been trying to schedule a visit to South Bend, but he hasn't been able to find a date as of yet.

Emeka Nwankwo (6-foot-5, 270 pounds) was attempting to visit Notre Dame before his season started, but he has had to change his plans.

"I wanted to take an official visit in August, but they told me I couldn't and that I had to wait until September to take an official visit," Nwankwo responded when asked about his plans to visit South Bend. "So I'm going to take an official visit to Notre Dame and that will be my first official visit.

"I'll take that and then make my decision on where I want to go."

There was a wave of concern that hit Notre Dame fans when a recent report came out that listed Florida as Nwankwo's leader. Although Florida has made a recent surge, he still has a tremendous amount of interest in Notre Dame.

"Florida," Emeka responded when asked about a the school that jumped to the top of his favorites list. "It happened over night. I went up there this past weekend and I loved it. I was really fun. [Notre Dame] is still there, they are dead tied with Florida. It could go either way. I just have to take a visit [to South Bend] before I make my decision.

"I don't need to take an official to Florida because I've been there so many times. If I do take an official it will be to hang out with the players. It'll come down to those two if anything."
