Paskorz Enjoys Irish Victory

Notre Dame commitment Steve Paskorz of Hampton high school (Allison Park, Pa.) made the trip to South Bend last weekend to watch the Irish take on the Penn State Nittany Loins. For the Pennsylvania product the weekend could not have turned out better as the Irish won in convincing fashion.

Steve Paskorz (6-foot-2, 220 pounds) had made several trips to Notre Dame, but he had been anticipating last weekend's visit for some time.

"I had my official visit this weekend," Paskorz said of his trip to South Bend. "I was just happy to get down there and see Notre Dame beat Penn State. I really enjoyed the game. I took in as much as I could because this is the last year I'll have to be a part of the fan base. This was the first real game that I've been to. I went to the spring game and I thought the spring game was exciting, but this was magnified ten times.

"I thought [Notre Dame] looked real good. We have a couple Notre Dame fans here, but everyone is a Penn State fan and they were saying what a great defense they had and that Penn State was going to do real good. I was just happy to see Notre Dame beat them, not that I have anything against Penn State, I just wanted to see Notre Dame win."

Paskorz was impressed with his future teammates, but he also enjoyed being part of the Notre Dame student section.

"After every touchdown the students hoisted me up," Paskorz explained. "They did it a couple times with Arrelious Benn and Aaron Nagel as well. We just had fun with that. I talked to Aaron Nagel pretty much the whole game. I talked to Arrelious Benn and Harrison smith as well.

"Steve Quinn was my host. He's a real good guy. I got to hang out with him Kyle McCarthy and Pat Kuntz. I was with those guys the majority of the night. McCarthy had his little brother with him too.

"I'm going to try to get in for the Michigan game. I really don't know, it all depends if my parents want to drive me up or not," he added. Top Stories
