Notre Dame Makes The Cut

Pennsylvania's Ryan Mundy is considered one of the nations elite prospects regardless of position. Mundy talks about his scholarship offers, favorites and he names co-leaders.

Ryan Mundy, a 6-foot-2, 205-pound, defensive back from Pittsburgh (Pa.) Woodland Hills is among the nations finest prospects regardless of position.

Ryan has been offered scholarships by Michigan, Michigan State, Pittsburgh, Penn State, West Virginia, Syracuse, Georgia Tech, North Carolina State, Ohio State, Northwestern, Iowa, Maryland and several others.

"Michigan and Pittsburgh are my top two right now." Mundy said. "I also like Michigan State, Georgia Tech, North Carolina State, Maryland, Virginia and Notre Dame.

"I don't have any official visits set up yet. I'll probably take my visits after the season."

Mundy will be a three-year starter on both sides of the ball for Woodland Hills. He had 84 tackles and seven interceptions on defense and 14 catches for 210 yards and five touchdowns on offense in 2001.

Ryan is a physical football player that projects as a defensive back at the next level. He's been timed at 4.37 seconds in the 40-yard dash.

Mundy was named 1st team all-state last year and he was also named a junior All-American by Student Sports Magazine.

Mundy's former teammate at Woodland Hills, Steve Breaston will be true freshman at the University of Michigan in 2002. Top Stories
