Matt Romine (6-foot-7, 275 pounds) isn't a stranger to Notre Dame. He's taken five unofficial visits to South Bend, but this weekend he'll head in as an official visitor.
"I'm really just going in to see everything," Romine said when asked what he would be looking for on his official visit. I'm comfortable at Notre Dame. I've hung out with the players. I ‘m just looking for them to show me everything.
"I'm coming up on Friday. We're on fall break so our game is on Thursday."
Romine has already taken a one official visit. His first trip was to Notre Dame's rival to the north, Michigan.
"I like their strength coach. I like how he does things," Romine replied when asked about his trip to Michigan. "I like their academics. I like a lot of things about Michigan and they're doing pretty good this year.
"I haven't really experienced Notre Dame like that before which is why I'm taking my visits to find out what things are like. I haven't gotten the full experience of an official visit anywhere except Michigan yet. I don't have anything to compare it to.
Michigan and Notre Dame are Romine's first two visits. He also has plans to visit Oklahoma and Tennessee, but his fifth and final destination is still undecided.
"I'm looking to take a visit to Miami some time in December. It's not for sure." Romine said. "I'm still trying to decide between Florida and Miami. Florida calls every week. I think they have three or four offensive line recruits and I think they're looking for one more."
