Major Wright Names Four

Major Wright of St. Thomas Aquinas high school (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) had been focused his senior season. With his season coming to an end last Friday, Wright will now turn his attention to where he wants to play college football.

Major Wright (6-foot-2, 200 pounds) is the type of defensive back the Irish need in order to elevate the program to the next level. Notre Dame has been hanging around throughout the recruiting process, and now that Wright begins to focus on recruiting the Irish may have a chance to land the Florida product.

"Yeah, pretty good," Wright responded when asked about Notre Dame's chances to earn his signature in February. "Things are going pretty good. I most likely will take a visit to Notre Dame. I haven't gotten into looking a date yet.

"I took one visit to Ohio State. It went pretty good. I've been up to Notre Dame before, and I have been to Florida.

Wright named Florida, USC, Ohio State and Notre Dame as the schools that were under consideration.

"All of them are even. I'm just waiting to take my trips." Wright said. "Right now I don't know what schools I'll visit officially"

The Notre Dame coaching staff is making in-home visits with recruits and Wright is on their visit list.

"I don't know what date Notre Dame is coming in, but they are coming in," he said."
