Pahokee Standout Odoms Is Offered

Pahokee (Fla.) head coach Leroy Foster interrupted Martavious Odom's lunch on Wednesday so the two could return a phone call from Notre Dame assistant coach Bernie Parmalee. Next thing the 5-foot-9, 165-pound Odoms knew, he was talking with Irish head coach Charlie Weis and receiving a scholarship offer.

Coach Foster confirmed that his star receiver received an offer to Notre Dame this morning.

A three-year starter on the varsity, Martavious Odoms had 923 yards receiving and 14 touchdowns this season, helping Pahokee to its third state championship in four years. A runner-up finish a season ago, Odoms had 1,150 yards receiving and 17 touchdowns. As a freshman, Odoms was good for 608 yards and eight touchdowns.

Odom's has 4.45 speed in the 40-yard dash.

Foster also said that Notre Dame is very interested in Pahokee defensive tackle Micanor Regis. Top Stories
