Boston Interested In Irish

Bartow, FL is home to Alex Boston. This two-sport star has been receiving a lot of attention from the top schools in the country. Notre Dame is one of those schools. Will he visit Notre Dame?

Alex Boston has been offered by a lot of schools. Some of the schools off the top of his head are Notre Dame, Florida, FSU, Miami, Alabama, Maryland, Boston College, Iowa and Pittsburgh. He played his first game last week and had 1 caused fumble, 3 sacks and 2 catches for 20 yards at tight end.

I asked Alex when he would set his visits. "I haven't taken my test yet. I will take it in October and then I will set up my visits." I asked Alex if he had a top list of schools so far. "Yeah, Notre Dame, Florida, FSU, Miami Georgia, Georgia Tech. Pretty much everyone who has offered me, I am interested in."

Boston says he is not sure which schools he will visit but added this. "I plan to head up north to Notre Dame sometime during the season. I want to see how I like the cold and what that is about. I also want to see if I feel comfortable there.

Alex says he plans to take all 5 visits and that academics are the top of his list. "I will be looking at the academic situation the most. The degree is very important to me. I will then see if they really want me. I want to know if I fit in well with the players and the coaches but academics are the most important. My Mom wants me to get my degree.

I asked Alex why he was interested in Notre Dame since most of the schools he is interested in are southern schools. "Well, I think it's the tradition up there. They have such a great tradition. Also, the academics are very good. I had a friend who was up there and he told me that I would really like it up there so I am going to visit and see how I like the cold."

Comments. As always, the comments section is just my opinion. I think ND has a legit shot at this player. He is a yes sir/no sir type of kid. Very bright and very respectful. He said he will likely also play baseball while at school and all schools said that is fine. He is a defensive end the Irish like quite a bit. Top Stories
